This season, Faulhaber got up close and personal with opening night of World MasterCard Fashion Week, sitting in the front row for Holt Renfrew (@HoltRenfrew), Pink Tartan (@Pink_Tartan) and Pavoni (@PAVONIofficial). Here’s an inside look of the highlights from the first three shows!
The Holt Renfrew show turned into a runway shopping experience when the Canadian retailer surprised the audience by showcasing current men and women’s fall fashions. We also took some time to play a little “guess the designer” with Jeanne Beker as each look went by, and picked out the notables in the crowd!
Beloved Canadian design house Pink Tartan presented a spring collection that was every girly girl’s dream wardrobe. Ladylike silhouettes were brought to life with tea length skirts, crop tops and oversized structured teas softened in metallic shades of pink, gold and mint with punches of black. An unexpected highlight was runway rebel model Charlotte Free…who graced the runway with dyed pink locks that matched the feminine collection.
And then there was Pavoni. We stopped and smelled the roses – literally – at the fantasy show that ended day one in the most glamorous fashion. We ooed and awed as each high-sparkle mini dress and tulle infused gown romanced the runway in tones of white and gold.
Fashion week is one of the busiest times for Toronto fashionistas, and can be a whirlwind experience (especially for us PR gals). Faulhaber has learned that it is best survived by keeping a pair of flats in your truck, lipstick in your bag, and making sure you take the time to stop and watch the fashion!
