We have to hand it to Brad Ford and his irreplaceable design for The Great American Woody Project. Unlike anything else along the open road, The Woody is a history-making luxury rolling bar cart designed for Moore & Giles, with consultation from Jim Meehan. Equipped with stunning leather by Moore & Giles and everything one would need to whip up the perfect Whiskey Smash while camped out beside a game or right at home in your own backyard, the Woody characterizes the luxury of tailgating and the art of entertaining al fresco. And the best part about the mobile bar? It is currently up for auction for a great cause.
American designer Brad Ford, Principal of New York-based firm, Brad Ford ID, is well known for his understated yet sophisticated style. He has since been featured as one of “10 New Designers to Watch” in both New York Spaces Magazine and in New York Magazine. Brad Ford will also be featured as a speaker at the much-anticipated 2012 Interior Design Show (IDS 12), held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, on the Globe Style Saturday Krups Stage, January 28th, 2011.
The Woody, one of Ford’s most recent projects, was launched this fall at DINING BY DESIGN in New York and has since travelled to some of the most exclusive design related events across the U.S. Most importantly, in conjunction with World AIDS Day, the Woody is being auctioned off on charitybuzz.com as a part of DIFFA’s (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) “30 for 30” auction, featuring 30 exceptional packages to commemorate 30 years of fighting HIV/AIDS. The auction for the one-of-a-kind piece ends on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 12:00 PM EST.
