Burgers are nothing new to a Torontonian’s taste buds, but the Queen West ‘Kings’ are reinventing the trend. Today, The P&L Burger opens its doors at the bustling intersection of Queen West and Spadina.
Richard Lambert and Jesse Girard, partners of THE SOCIAL GROUP and owners of Parkdale’s first hit restaurant, Parts & Labour, have partnered up with Group of 7 chef Matty Matheson yet again to create the new in-and-out shop. The menu features seven delicious options, including chef Matty’s award-winning P&L patty. Out-stacking The Burger’s Priest and Dangerous Dan’s Diner, The P&L won first place in the Toronto edition of Country Music Television’s (CMT) Burger Wars.
Tantalize your taste buds with a homemade vegetarian Tempeh burger, a cheesy mushroom Philly or a maple BBQ Castor burger. With Canadian-style patties and gourmet toppings, The P&L Burger takes Toronto’s love for burgers to a whole new level. Designed by Castor, the 1000 sq. ft. shop boasts the same rustic-industrial feel as Parts & Labour.
As of today, the shop is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 507 Queen St. W.
